The Big Lost River in Idaho meanders south
through the Saw Tooth Mountains from north of Mackay until it becomes lost in
the desert between Arco, and Craters of the Moon National Monument. On a recent return to this valley where I
grew up, I ventured out to find our favorite fishing and swimming hole, and
stumbled on a “newcomer” basking in the morning sun.
