Shades of Rust
Oil on Masonite 4X5.25 inches $35.00
Same old tractor as yesterday from the rear. I don't know how long its been sitting in that field, but the sage and brush has grown up all around it. Made me think of the "little toy soldiers that stood faithful and true since the little boy kissed them, and put them there."

One More Misty Morning Oil on Masonite 4X5 inches
The old tractor was just sitting there in the early morning mist and fog like it had done it a hundred times before-just waiting and rusting in the rain.

A Cool Drink of Water 24X18 Oil on Board $1350
There is nothing that tastes so good as a cold drink after working up a sweat on a hot day. We often left the can propped in a small stream to keep it cold. I did this from a photo taken on the Jensen farm in Cache County Utah. I loved working with the broken play of light coming through the tree leaves. I try to capture the feeling of dry heat, with a hint of dust in the air and the smell of the water in the stream. Hope you enjoy the memories.

Yankee Fork 8X10 inches Oil on Panel
Among the headwaters of the Salmon River in Idaho is one called the Yankee Fork. A giant gold mining dredge lies rusting amid the mounds of rubble it spewed out in its glory days, but before reaching the dredge beautiful meadows with small streams running through them provide a quiet reminder to its primitive beauty.Wednesday, May 25, 2011
Land of Adventure Oil on Panel 7X9 inches
To young boys there's something magnetic about the promise of adventure posed by machines that can be climbed upon. This old gold dredge hadn't moved since the 1930's, but the treasure it promised was discovery!
